To learn more about tapping, I strongly recommend my friend Nick Ortner’s documentary film called The Tapping Solution, that follows a case study of 10 people — none of whom had experienced tapping before — in a closed workshop weekend…the results were astounding.  Check it out….but check out this fun video from Brad first….

Wow! I had to stop and think long and hard about that one. Why would someone approach me like that?  I’m looking at this as a gift that I give to people and he’s challenging my integrity.  And course, there was a part of me wanting to say: “Uh, duh! (I mean, of course, there is a marketing strategy involved…or at least a “filtering” strategy)” but that really doesn’t begin to explore the many reasons why my coaching team and I REALLY do free Discovery Coaching sessions.

Money is just an exchange of value and energy and I have yet to work with a client who didn’t tell me that I brought WAY more value to them than the money they were paying for my services. So, I decided to really put some thought into how to respond to this gentleman.

Think about this for a minute.  When someone offers you a free trial, what is the purpose?  It is to prove to you that what you are trying is worth buying in the first place, right?

This happens every day in the marketing world and no one thinks twice about it.  You see it in the grocery store when someone offers you a taste of a new food product.  If you like it, you buy it.  You see it in internet marketing a lot these days with $1 trials, awesome free training content leading to a product offer, and free this and that to lead you to EXPERIENCE what is being offered, thereby being able to make a better buying decision.  It helps you to get to know the product, or the service, or in my case, the PERSON.  Let’s be realistic, you’re not going to sign up to pay for for coaching services without even knowing the slightest bit about me or just from reading my web page, are you?

And by the same token, I’m not going to just work with anyone either.  It has to be a good fit (and I have to actually have an opening in my coaching schedule…which is rare. )  But typically one or more of our coaching team is available for a session with virtually anyone.

So, let’s break this down a bit:

Of course, I don’t provide my coaching services just for the money.  There is a lot easier work you can do if you’re just about money.  I do coaching and mentoring, first and foremost, because I love it.  One of my favorite experiences is seeing one of my clients rise to a new level in his or her life or business, or watching them discover an inner greatness that they didn’t previously acknowledge, or helping someone make more money and see their lives change dramatically as a result.

Everyone has at least one unique skill set. One of the highest and best uses of my unique skill set in the world is to help people break through barriers, structure their business to bring them freedom, get clear on how to move forward, solve challenges and provide a plethora of different ways someone can create more time, money and personal freedom in the process…just to name a few things that I do in life and business coaching. Virtually everyone I work with believes that brings great value to their lives, whether or not they end up paying for my services in the long run.

And on my team, we have people with all sorts of specialty areas too…wellness coaching, financial coaching, law of attraction…and more new areas being filled all the time through our MasterMind Mentor Coaching Academy certification program.

Rarely do I work with a client that hasn’t created a new way to pay for my services and much, much more in the first 90 days.  As a business coach, if I don’t bring actual bottom line monetary, dollars and cents (and sense) value to your life, what’s the point of paying me, right?

Going back to how this all lays out from the “you’re only doing this to get people to pay you!” comment made by our skeptical friend earlier in this story…let’s take a look at how “free” looks from my perspective…

We have a number of different programs and my private coaching practice is much higher than, but for our Mastering the Law of Attraction coaching curriculum, people pay $497 per month, although most people just go ahead and pay $997 for three months of coaching because it’s like getting a whole month for FREE.   That’s about three hours a month, plus a bunch of other perks including recording every single session, quick-coaching sessions, and more…  So the math works out to an hourly rate in the $110-165 range, depending on how it’s structured.

So, addressing our skeptical friend’s concerns, these complimentary Discovery Sessions sessions are not some scaled-down version of a coaching session where I’m holding back the “good stuff” and offer no real value.  It’s the real deal.

Just like any other session, we spend time examining your life and situation, your business, your strategies and where you might make things more effective. We usually spend 45-60 minutes on these calls. That breaks down to well over  $100 of my coaches’ time…that we give you, as a gift for FREE, regardless of whether you sign up for a coaching program.  And that’s not even doing the math of the value when I do the session myself because my specialty rates are substantially higher than that.  You can check out the Conscious Business Strategy or Product and Strategic Marketing and Product  Launch Consulting packages, if you really want to know…   (if you’re a good candidate for one of those programs).

The whole design is not about selling you coaching, it is to determine whether we can provide a greater value to you, to see if we are a good fit in working together for some period of time after the initial session.  Our intention is to put you in a position that you have powerful new ideas and tools to work with from DAY ONE (Day One – The Free Discovery Session).

We don’t work with everyone, not even with everyone that wants to pay.   I believe we have to both be clear that our working together is a good fit.  Our personalities need to connect, and my skills (or those of one of my coaching team) and your project, or your business, or yours goals in life, have to be a good match.

So, we can’t work with everyone…there aren’t enough hours in the day.  However, while we will gladly provide anyone with a true desire to improve their current situation with complimentary coaching session.

So, like the man who wrote me the email and was skeptical about my intentions, are you willing to walk away from an over $100 gift that you may REALLY need right now?  It is just that: a gift to you, with no strings attached and no pressure.

If you do find that this interesting and intriguing, what have you got to lose?  Really, what’s the worst-case scenario?  Less than an hour of your time and at the end, perhaps we don’t mesh?  Hardly a risk, don’t you agree?

The bottom line for me is that my greatest passion is to help people find the best parts of themselves and bring that out into the world. I love helping people discover new business ideas and potential income streams.   I love finding new ways to MasterMind with people to overcome challenges and have more time, money and freedom in their lives.   That’s my passion!

By the way, the skeptical man I referred to earlier has now come back to me with an interest in pursuing a session.  Isn’t that interesting?  Sometimes it’s all about someone’s slightly skewed perception.  All it took was just sharing my true motivation.

If you have not studied Dr. Hawkins work, and are interested in the science behind how the world around you affects you, you might consider reading his now-classic book, Power vs. Force. Dr. Hawkins did a 29-year study of Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) made a number of profound discoveries.

First, nothing is neutral. Whatever you come into contact with — whether it be the food you eat, the people you meet or the environment in which you live and breathe — either strengthens you or it weakens you. Nothing is neutral.

A couple of years ago, I attended where the facilitator did a powerful demonstration of applied kinesiology using various test objects and three test subjects from the audience.

First, he did a blind test with each of the three subjects holding an envelope to their solar plexus. In each case, the muscle test (applied kinesiology) caused the subjects to immediately go weak. It turned out that inside the envelopes were packets of artificial sweeteners! So much for better living through chemistry!

Next he began testing music. As a musician and composer who creates music designed to raise vibrational frequency and enhance learning experience (MasterMind Enhancement Music), this really got my attention. Again, each of the subjects were given CDs (the music wasn’t actually played) to hold against the solar plexus.

The first one caused the subjects to go weak…it turned out that it was the Rolling Stones. A groan from the audience (including me)…and the facilitator said, “Yeah, I like the Stones too, but I don’t listen to them now because I know the music weakens me.” The next CD test produced a strengthening result and it turned out that CD was The Beatles.

I have been doing testing on lots of music, educational programs and other materials now in my own experiments. After the music was tested, I was very curious how my music and educational home study program fared in Dr. Hawkins world of The Enlightenment Scale. Near as we can tell, my Attraction Mastery program (which includes a custom music piece called Attraction) tested around 600 on the 0-1000 enlightenment scale. Anything above 200 is strengthening you and according to Dr. Hawkins, above 500 is in the pure love realm, 600 is approaching enlightenment and as you move toward 1000, you reach total energy/enlightenment/oneness. Very interesting stuff.

Nothing is neutral. Everything either strengthens or weakens you. Perhaps it’s time to pay closer attention to what we choose to allow into our systems, and even into our personal field. Remember that the music test didn’t require even playing the music and the artificial sweetener test didn’t even require using the sweetener, only coming into contact with it. Quite fascinating stuff.

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out.

His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.

He said, ‘I’m here to help you, ma’am. Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson .’

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled
under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn’t thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, ‘And think of me.’

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed that the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude.

The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan ..

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be.

Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: ‘You don’t owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.’

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard….

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, ‘Everything’s going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.’

There is an old saying ‘What goes around comes around.’ Today I sent you this story, and I’m asking you to pass it on. Let this light shine. God works in mysterious ways and sometimes puts people in our lives for a reason.

Lots of my coaching clients and friends started asking me a bunch of questions about the Law of Attraction during the past few years…questions like: “I’m meditating and I’m visualizing but I’m not having the success I want with the Law of Attraction, what am I doing wrong?”

So, I would ask a few questions in return, such as: “When things start showing up around what it is you’re visualizing, what do you do?” Typically, I would get a cold stare in response, something like the confused dog look with the cocked head and confused face…”what do you mean, when things show up?” I realized that what most people were missing in the equation was the action part. You have to take action as things are put into your path that match up to what you’re attracting with your thoughts and emotions.

In order to assist people in making this work better in their lives, calm the active chatter in their mind and allow for the process to really take effect, I developed the Seven Days to Success program and later did a more advanced series called Attraction Mastery and one of the bonuses in the program is the Law of Attraction MasterMind Movie. The great 19th Century German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer was well-known
for having stated this about any new idea:

“All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”

As far as the Law of Attraction goes, I believe we are moving through the end of stage two of Schopenhauer’s theory and are well on our way to stage three.

It is certainly my intention to be a catalyst to accelerate that process.  Because as I have written already and will continue to repeat again and again, there is important work to be done and each of us has a part in that work. It all starts with the work we do for and on ourselves.

The truth is the truth, regardless of whether we are willing to accept it. The truth is the truth, even if we choose to ignore it. The truth is still the truth, even if we don’t understand it. The truth is still the truth, even if we do not know that the truth exists. And the truth is still the truth, no matter what we CHOOSE to believe. And the key here is that there is a choice. We always have the choice and we constantly make a choice. We make that choice with virtually everything we see, hear, feel and experience in any way. Is this real? Is this true?

The truth is that the Law of Attraction is at work in your life right now. But if you aren’t ready to accept the Law of Attraction as truth, I would encourage you to simply try playing a little trick on yourself. For just a little while, can you at least suspend your disbelief? Give yourself the opportunity to learn about this amazing force that drives the mechanics of your life. What have you got to lose?

You may choose to disagree at first. You may choose to resist. You may choose to laugh, scoff or venture that this is all my opinion or even that I’m not in my right mind. But if you are willing to at least go out on that long limb for a little while and accept that what I choose to share with you may have some element of truth, you will find some very pleasant adventures awaiting you in the process.

Because the truth is still the truth, no matter what we choose to believe.

I have spent countless hours over the past three decades since then absorbing everything I can to expand my own horizons but rarely have encountered anything with the awesome raw power and message of success than Dr. Hill’s work.

Recently, I came across a video piece of Dr. Hill discussing his initial conversations with Andrew Carnegie, the insightful steel magnate (and the world’s first billionaire) who put the young Hill to task in studying the most successful men of the day and determine their common threads for creating that success. The resulting work changed the lives of millions of people around the world.

One of my favorite variations on Think and Grow Rich was the Nightingale Conant recordings called The Science of Personal Achievement. I was particularly moved by this because it includes so much of the original recordings done by Dr. Hill himself. This may not seem like much to us today but it is important to note that Hill first published Think and Grow Rich in 1937.

The recordings from The Science of Personal Achievement were from old radio interviews, recordings made on 78 speed records and were really the first serious work in audio recordings. It was cutting-edge stuff at the time…the information still is and now, the piece is (finally) available on CD. I had two different cassette version of the piece; one for me and one that I always circulated through my network, and always passed along from one person to another with a letter telling the next one in line how the work had affected his or her life.

I tell this story today to share with you that some concepts are universal and remain true throughout the generations. Think and Grow Rich and it’s related material is just such a work. If you haven’t read it (or listened to it if that’s your preferred medium), I strongly encourage you to do so.

And how do we overcome whatever may be blocking us from receiving? “Receiving what, Jeff?” you may be asking. Anything! One thing I’ve discovered in working with coaching clients over the years is that whatever we are choosing to have in our live that we haven’t already arrived is being slowed down by some kind of fear, block or resistance and it’s almost always on a subconscious level.

We came into this life with only two fears:

1. The fear of loud noises; and

2. The fear of falling.

Everything else we adopted along the way. Fear of public speaking; fear of failure; fear of rejection; fear of heights…literally everything else blocking us was learned by some experience or series of experiences. Well, if your mind can learn something like that through simply having one or more traumatic experiences around it, why can’t we also “unlearn” or quickly release that issue? We can, of course.

At the core of all good things in our lives is an Attitude of Gratitude. It is the key element in attracting to you more of the things you want in your life. One of the trickier parts about gratitude is the fine art of being grateful even when things don’t seem to be going so well.

Have you ever had “one of those days” where everything seemed to be going “wrong” and then just kept getting worse the more you resisted the things that were going wrong already? If you have (and let’s face it, we ALL have), that’s a shining example of how your thought process and attitude directly affects the outcome of your life. I know that in the past I have allowed my day to unravel by cursing the problem or asking things like “why does this keep happening to me?” Does this happen to you?

For quite some time now, I have been teaching (and learning) about the Law of Attraction, first through the concepts originally taught by Wattles in The Science of Getting Rich. Then “The Secret” came out and began to open the eyes of an entire planet about these concepts. And now, I have even created my own system of action-oriented processes for activating the Law of Attraction. I realized after much research that I have actually been living these principles for most of my life. What I have found to be the most effective tool when activating the Law of Attraction in my life is staying in a constant state of Gratitude. Gratitude really is at the core of everything in the Law of Attraction.

Finding the good in everything can take a little practice, but so can any worthwhile endeavor. We are constantly surrounded by and bombarded with negative information about the state of world affairs, the economy, global warming, our health…and the list goes on and on…but when you learn to find the blessing in all things, not just the things that you feel support you in a particularly moment or situation, that’s when you really begin to change your life and put the Law of Attraction into action.

If you simply take a few moments to get yourself into a relaxed and centered state of mind, you will probably discover that you already have a very long list of things for which you are immensely grateful. Isn’t that enough to begin to entertain the idea of being grateful for much more than the obvious?

The real trick is HOW to be grateful for things that, at least on their surface, are perceived as negative experiences in your lives. This process of “finding the silver lining” in everything is not always simple but it can be done with some practice.

You can start by raising your awareness of the potential benefit of a negative situation. One example I use is to ask myself: “What can I do while I’m stuck in traffic?” No one likes to be stuck in traffic but there are some positive benefits. I am grateful every day for that fact that I had a 11 mile, 45-minute commute when I lived in Los Angeles. Why? Because I took that opportunity to keep myself immersed in positive, inspiration and educational material while I drove to work. I used to call my car “Nissan University” because I literally absorbed an entire “masters degree in personal development” during the years I had to make that commute. So, when you stop and think about it…is being stuck in traffic can have some very positive benefits to you, if you get your mind pointed in the right direction.
